What goes around

I was very excited this morning to receive a new front fender for my motorcycle. The Hayabusa is nearly 'cherry' again, and though my existing fender looks fine, it does have a few obvious paint touch-ups applied.

Unfortunately, when I opened the package, I discovered that there were some little nicks in the paint. Nothing major, really; it just looks as if they clipped it a couple of times when they stapled the shipping box.

Granted, it's a front fender, and it's inevitably going to get a few paint chips from daily riding, but I'd rather not start off that way. I suppose I'm being overly picky, and it feels silly to send it back for such small defects.

But here's the point, Suzuki -- are you listening?: When you charge £120 for a smallish piece of moulded plastic, it had better be a frigging thing of beauty.

So, back it goes.
