Re: Visopsys 0.92 Relased

qmastery wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2024 10:07 pm please could you tell me the differences between the floppy versions of Visopsys 0.92 and Partition Logic 0.92?
Visopsys and Partition Logic are essentially the same, on any given medium. Just some different config files and different startup programs.

Re: Visopsys 0.92 Relased

Hi qmastery! Yes, sorry, store.c builds using the local native compiler rather than the toolchain. Mine didn't pick up that double-free for some reason. This is the patch: Index: src/programs/store.c =================================================================== RCS file: /home/andymc/Prog/cvs/...

Re: Add support for SAS disks (low-level format, save/restore images)

Hi ~ (homey? ) I enjoy writing drivers for new hardware, but it is time consuming, and of course I need to own example(s) of that hardware. The last year or so my free time has been very constrained :violin: , but I've had a long time Visopsys project in the works to upgrade the multitasker, a...

Re: Visopsys 0.91 Released

Oh yes, I don't think ISO images are going away any time soon -- I just didn't think many people would be burning them to physical media :P

Great that the USB worked well for you though, thanks for letting me know!

Re: Visopsys 0.91 Released

Hello Uityyy Thanks for the report It's been quite a while since I used Visopsys to boot a physical CD/DVD. I don't think I even have an IDE one anymore. I do remember this being a particular struggle with IDE. At one point I took a week off work, took my stack of old laptops, and tried to get the I...

Re: Visopsys 0.91 - Return of the RAMdisk?

Hi Qmastery 1) Is there a way for Visopsys to detect that we're running as a RAMdisk, or - alternatively - to try booting as a RAMdisk if a regular boot didn't work? Asking because my friend Mike is going to add Visopsys into ./csb_patcher.sh script which - among the other things - lets the coreboot...
