Re: My experiences with Visopsys install on QEMU virt disk

Hi Andy, I tried the v0.9 version of Visopsys today, and it installed OK. It seems the interface of the installer is more "fluid" than it seemed to be the last time I installed Visopsys. Much better. Anyway, the system installed and booted OK with no network, but when I set QEMU to use the...

Re: My experiences with Visopsys install on QEMU virt disk

Andy,

I just downloaded v0.9. I'll be setting it up on an ARM Linux board with QEMU, since I have only one Intel machine in the house. That one Intel board requires UEFI, so no joy there. Wonder if you've given much thought to UEFI?

Wow, Andy!

That is quite a list of added features and updates. Can't wait to download and see them in operation - Thanks!

Re: Now for something different

Thanks for that! I really enjoyed the song. Now I understand how the coder Andy balances out the humdrum with an opposite vibe on the artsy side. I like the cartoon brush-over effect - and you and your band have a pretty good sound too.

Re: Visopsys 0.85 Released

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the update. I wonder if you've ever created a visual representation for the code - a sort of block diagram-ish sort of thing?

Re: Visopsys 0.84+ (2019-08-09) cannot detect a harddrive

Hi Ron! No, still at the same old job. What's changed is an extra child, a wee one who's not quite sleeping through the night yet, and who at the same time is very active and mobile for her age - with limited understanding of gravity/danger :-) OK Andy. Those little ones take priority, no doubt. Ha...

Re: Visopsys 0.84+ (2019-08-09) cannot detect a harddrive

Hi Andy, Thought I'd stop by and see if you'd released another version. I must have had a clairvoyant connection - since you've just mentioned in the previous post that you're about ready to do it. Any networking in the next version uptick or is that still targeted for the dot nine release? With you...

Re: Visopsys 0.83 released

Hi Andy, I've been retired for a while now - so there's available time to do some testing when v0.9 arrives. Is the v0.9 code online somewhere? I actually think that "primitive" browsers are a good thing. In order to avoid the fluff that comes with javascript, I often turn it off, which re...

Re: Visopsys 0.83 released

Hello Andy,

I wonder how your TCP/IP stack is coming along? Been awhile since I checked in - BTW - have a merry Christmas!

New changes in 0.83

Andy: Thanks for the update. I took a peek at the change-log and saw the jpeg changes you put into v0.83. I have some large jpeg image files that wouldn't load on prior versions, and so it'll be interesting to see if they behave differently on v0.83 ... The new TCP-related library functions sound in...
