Re: Visopsys discussion forum
1. Absolutely, if you guys want to look at any missing/wrong functions in the C library and implement/fix them, that's great 5. More translations can be done using the libintl functions. I already have some German ones that I haven't released yet. You guys can use the keymap program (in the Administ...

Re: Partition Logic discussion forum
It's not realy a 'lite' version, as it contains almost all the same stuff. It's a reconfiguration, really (different configuration files) to hide any unnecessary operating system stuff and feature the disk partitioning program. It's really quite popular. After the last release, it was getting ~200,0...

Re: No GIT repository
Hmm, up until now I haven't had a public source management tool.
If I was going to do that, my first instinct would be to use something like Apache Subversion (SVN), that I can run from the web server. Any particular reason why git would be better?

Re: Visopsys 0.7 released
The mouse seems to snap in the top left corner as soon as i give Qemu the mouse. When I build it it seems to fail after kernel initialization like you said. Any ideas? My first idea is don't use Ubuntu as a development environment. I've been using it to try and solve problems for you, and I can't s...

Re: Visopsys 0.7 release candidate
That mouse bug is very tricky. Even though mice are very simple, initializing them can be a PITA. Interrupts need to be enabled for some of the initialization phase, so I need to find a way to make that work without allowing data reporting - i.e. mouse wiggling - to interphere with the startup stuff...

Re: Booting issue
Hey there, OK, I installed Ubuntu 10.10 and worked out all the issues I found there. There were a whole bunch of compiler warnings (errors) about a silly thing - passing a non-constant first argument to printf()-style functions - and I fixed all those. I saw the same errors as you when using the scr...
