how to disable read-only mode?

How to disable read-only mode?
When I start the OS I get an error that all settings will not be saved due to the fact that I have read-only mode enabled, how can I disable it?
I will be extremely grateful!

Hello! If you're getting that message, that means you've booted from a read-only media, such as an ISO image. Generally speaking, those file systems are read-only by design, since they're intended to be written to things like CDs and DVDs.

(Yes, optical drives that write traditional writable CDs/DVDs can add extra "sessions" that can be overlaid by the OS when you load it, but the original stuff is not changed. However an ISO image file - a virtual media - has no extra space reserved for that. Visopsys treats them as read-only physical media.)

If you download the USB version and boot from a USB device or image then it shouldn't have that restriction (neither does the floppy version, although that filesystem is pretty full! ). Same if you install it to a partition on the hard disk.

There's always a RAM-based /temp filesystem that you can write to, but obviously that disappears when you power off
