The forums need more people like you

Absolutely, more apps would be great. I haven't spent any time porting things, really, but it would be great if someone would!

If you need any support from me (adding missing C library functions, compiling/linking advice, etc) just shout.

I think that, as I'm learning C, I will try to develop some small apps for Visopsys :)

You should use C, it's the only language supported right now. For more info you can head to http://visopsys.org/developers.htm

You create your source code in C with any text editor, or your favourite IDE, then you compile it following the Build instructions that you can find inside the source code download

Hi xHASZUx

Right now, the language to use is C. That's the only one that's got the runtime support at the moment, although others could be added.

If you download the source code, you can look at some of the smaller, simpler programs in the src/programs directory, and see how Visopsys programs are constructed.

You can also check this threadhttp://visopsys.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=191 for the first part of a tutorial about writing GUI programs in Visopsys.

Hello and welcome myrubapa, just take a look around the forums, there is stuff that is wanted/needed and basically you're free to do as you please. We're big on internationalization (translating mainly) and also there are many needed applications. For starters i'd recommend downloading the latest source, take a peek under the hood :) feel free to submit bugfixes or new programs or anything via the forums. Cheers and once again welcome!

Also if you think of anything that visopsys might need, feel free to just add that, and share it on the forums :)
